The 460 is a great little printer, I bring it on business trips all the time, and people are always excited to see it (to print boarding passes, contracts, etc.)



I was interested in going completely wireless using the battery and this BT card, but it is SLOW. It's directly next to my laptop right now and it took about 5 minutes to print a page that took no more than 20 seconds over USB. The file was not that large either.



It is quicker to fly back home, pick up a USB cable, fly back, and use that cable than it is to print off a few documents over Bluetooth using this card.



But, in concept it would have been a great feature to add to an otherwise amazing and functional portable printer. (Now, if this printer could scan and fax over VoIP/IP as well, that would be orgasmic!)

Customer Review: Good only for text, not graphics

Plus sides: Works flawlessly with a MacBook running OSX-Leopard. Simply pair it up using the little Bluetooth icon in the menubar, and then it automatically appears in your printer list complete with printer driver. To access the HP toolbox to do alignments and view ink levels and set print quality and such, simply open the print queue for the printer, and click on the little "Toolbox" icon at the right-top of the print queue window. It all Just Worked(tm), which is a testament to both the Mac and to HP.



Minus sides: As with all Bluetooth devices, fairly short range (will work across a room, will *not* work from a different room). *EXCRUCIATINGLY* slow at printing graphics via Bluetooth -- a photo that took about 45 seconds to print via USB managed to print about 1 inch of photo after 5 minutes on Bluetooth.



All in all, it works well for what it is, but runs into the limits of Bluetooth -- i.e., slow and short range -- and thus I can't really recommend it unless you just absolutely *have* to be wireless for some reason. It works, but is a poor value. Just plug in a USB cable and be done with it.

I have never been one for fancy music players. If it plays music, I am good. I was looking for a replacement for my Dell Jukebox (which I would still use if the battery lasted more than 4 hours), and I had a few requirements. It had to have a large amount of space to hold music, have good reviews, and use the Plays for Sure subscription service. The Haier Ibiza Rhapsody fit the bill and more.



After thinking about going with a IPod, Zune, or other device, I found the Ibiza to be better for me because Rhapsody is my subscription service, and the fact that I could connect, stream and download music through Wi-Fi stopped my search. After reading further, I found that it also could play video, and connect via blue tooth wireless. This enabled me to have the freedom of music discovery without being connected to my computer, and not have to worry about wired headphones. I feel the FM Radio that is included to be a useless extra, but others may like it.



I have now had the device for about a month, and I am very pleased with my purchase. The sound quality is really very good, even through my Bluetooth headphones. The Rhapsody interface allows me to find artist that are "like" the ones I am listening to and sample playlists and channels. And if I like it, I can save it to the 30GB HD on board. The d

I bought this as an upgrade from a Sansa Sandisk e200 for my Rhapsody subscription.



Out of the box, it needed a charge but that's not unusual for consumer electronics.



If you are an existing Rhapsody user, don't bother using the included CD. The install messed up the install of Rhapsody on my computer and I had to uninstall and reinstall it from the Rhapsody website.



I got it hooked up using Wi-Fi at the office (we have a "guest" hotspot for visitors) and at home. I had it check for firmware updates which it downloaded and applied automatically.



The sound quality is really good.



The ability to load and play videos is a nice touch.



The screen is beautiful and the use of album art is well done. Additionally, just like other Rhapsody devices, you can download channels and play them back offline while still getting album art, artist bios, etc.



The fact that the player includes WiFi and Bluetooth support are just icing on the cake. I take the player to the gym and use my Motorola bluetooth headphones to listen to music while the player is sitting in the cup holder or is safely in my pocket.



I was considering an Apple iPod Touch (32GB) but Apple doesn't offer a subscription model for music. That's a big deal to me. Sure, I could download music illegally but the cost of getting caught isn't worth it. Also, I'm not interested in "owning" music since my tastes change and for the cost of one (1) CD a month, I can download and take hundreds of albums with me.



The only things that keep me from giving this product a 5 out of 5 are the following:

* WiFi antenna doesn't seem to pick up signals as well as laptops which limits my range.

* Data transfer rate from PC to player over USB 2.0 seems slow even when the music or video files are stored locally on the PC. (Of course, it could be just that I'm used to a flash-based player with 1/3 of the capacity too.)

* Some of the podcasts don't load or the RSS feeds appear to not have any updates.

* Text entry is cumbersome and there is no software interface to load podcasts/podcast feeds or browser favorites from your PC.

* No instructions for existing Rhapsody users (i.e. they assume you are a brand new Rhapsody user).



All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and look forward to any added functionality that the manufacturer builds into future firmware updates.

I love the small, slick design. It travels well, but beware it goes through regular AAA batteries about every 3 weeks if used for 5 day, 8 hours per day work week. I use rechargeables now. Though the mouse is small and compact it has a great feel. The portability is good because of its size. IGo or Thinkoutside has not yet finished (12-29-07) a driver for Windows Mobile 6 so I used the driver from BlueMouse from [...]. It works well most of the time. They are working to perfect it for my phone but until then it works 80%. Sometimes the pointer disappears so I just turn the mouse off and then back on. At the worst case when I can't get any response I simply delete the mouse from my BlueTooth pairing list and then re-pair it. Most of the time it works fine and gives the phone a small computer feel. I use it with the keyboard from the same company as the mouse and the BlueMouse driver supports both at the same time.

Well first off i had it about 4 mounts and i think samsung makes some really great products in all area's but this little player is great and a little slimmer than the itouch but most of all is the bluetooth was my main reason for buy. Also i have dropped this twice from about 4 to 5 feet with no problems. The only bad thing is the strict spec's of audio and vidio meaning you just cant throw any old video or audio format on it but the supplied media program takes care of that. This is a great product i have no regrets and would buy again without a second thought

Before I purchased my YP-P2 I researched literally every model I could find. I even purchased a Zune 30GB but took it back to the store the next day (that's an entirely different review). Finally I ordered the Samsung and it has delivered on everything promised and more.



I'm out in the desert flying medevac helicopters so I needed something portable that I could use to watch movies on during my 24-hour alerts. Here are my thoughts on the YP-P2:



-Internet connections are not always reliable out here, so it was refreshing that I was able to use the YP-P2 right out of the box without having to be online. I just plugged it into my laptop and charged it up and it was ready to go.



-I've seen reviews about the difficulty transferring videos of different formats onto the player. When I was able to get online, I downloaded the newest software from Samsung and converting files is easy and efficient. It takes about 45 minutes to convert a movie, but that's the norm. I've set it up to reduce my 1Gb .avi files into 300 Mb .svi files for the YP-P2. The quality I get in both audio and video is still great. Unfortunately, the Samsung software is pretty useless for anything else since the interface is so archaic. I use Windows Media Player to transfer music to the player and it works great.



The screen and interface are absolutely gorgeous, especially with the newest firmware from Samsung. I work with a whole group of die-hard Ipod fans who were certain that I was going to regret not going with the Ipod Touch. That was until they saw the YP-P2. The audio quality is beautiful and the screen is perfect for viewing videos. The extra $100 I was able to pocket by not forking over $300 for an Ipod Touch (what does "no software upgrade" mean, anyway?) is just an added bonus.



Conclusion: If you want a great gadget to watch movies and listen to music on, this is definitely the one to go with.

YES! Bluetooth is very much viable for the future to come. The Jabra BT150 (retailing between $25 and $30 in high street phone shops) is a good buy. It's either the same size or smaller than the H500, cheaper, and also in black. It's only suitable for Bluetooth version 1.1 or higher.

It's the only one I could find, but its another for you to consider. Downside to the BT150 is 2 hours less talk time and 20 hours less stand by time than the H500. You could determine how much of your phone you use, and make a decision if the extra amount of money is worth the talk/stand by time.

The good news is that it doesn't matter how you received the text message; as long as it is on your phone as an SMS message (text message), you can forward it to someone else. Yes, you can copy the text within a text message, provided you have a device that allows you to copy text (most phones these days allow you to do this).

Once in the body of the text message, choose the Options, which should have an option to Copy. When you are in the Note, choose Options and then choose Paste. Whenever you choose the Copy option, the text will go onto the Clipboard (just like with Windows) and this will allow you to Paste the text somewhere else. If you tell me what type of phone you have, I can give you specific instructions on how to do this.

The cars that are now coming equipped with Bluetooth allow you to have a Bluetooth connection between your wireless phone and your car (through the phone and car's Bluetooth connection). If you have a compatible phone (and are on a compatible wireless network - that is, compatible with the car), you can use the car's console to dial your phone, access your address book, make and receive calls, etc. You won't need a Bluetooth headset in order to use the car's features, but you do need a compatible phone.

allow for anonymous messaging.

Criminals could use this capability to facilitate their illicit
activities by communicating with each other without having law
enforcement listening in on their conversations.

Here's the basic of how it works...

When two bluetooth devices first start to communicate with each other,
they need to authenticate each other. This is called "handshake".

As they handshake there is a designated area of this part of the
communication process that is utilized to transmit the name of one
device to the other.

This designated area can allow criminals (or just about anyone) to
cram in short three or four word messages in there - thus providing
criminals with a three/four word anonymous communication capability
from one device to another where law enforcement is blind to this
communication taking place.

It's possible to send an anonymous message of up to 248 characters,
to be exact.

3- Gaining access to data on a cell phone

With early versions of bluetooth-enabled cell phones, it's possible to
connect and gain access to some of the data on this cell phone,
including its calendar and phonebook.

This is done with a specific piece of software we won't mention here.

4- Sniffing

While not a threat in itself, sniffing is more commonly known. It's
about using a tool designed to scan and identify devices.

Since most bluetooth devices usually have their security disabled by
default, a hacker will often be able to compromise the security of
such devices pretty easily.

Identity theft, phone cloning and data manipulation of computer files
are then posssible, as mentioned at t he beginning of this article.
